The Chittenango Business Education Department offers a complete core of elective courses that teach the essentials in coping with today's world; courses that teach practical skills, teach money management, teach necessary computer skills, and provide career information to help students relate their interest, needs, and abilities to a variety of occupational opportunities. These courses build a firm foundation for entry-level jobs and for higher education.
The purpose of the Chittenango Business Department is to foster a process that promotes a dual path of education. The first offers the vocational skills that are necessary to pursue or understand the requirements of a career in Business and the second path allows all students to develop and/or strengthen their life skills which are necessary to survive in today's society.
Students who pursue a 5-unit sequence in Business Education, will fulfill the necessary credits to obtain an Advanced Regents Diploma. The 5-unit sequence would replace the requirement of an eighth regents exam.
